We are a group of local merchants and business owners who are committed to the community of Mount Albert. Our goal is to keep Mount Albert businesses alive and vibrant and to attract new businesses into town. We encourage support from the community by shopping local and discover what Mount Albert has to offer. The association provides an opportunity for local business people to network and enjoy business exchange at its monthly meetings.

• Installing 2 signs on Highway 48 (north and south of Mount Albert Road) directing traffic to Downtown Mount Albert. (Fall 2005)

• We have received a $12,000 grant allowing us to purchase benches, trash cans, bike racks and install brackets and hanging flower baskets. (June 2005)

• An updated look for the Mount Albert Map, with all MABA members listed. Printed and distributed to all of East Gwillimbury (Fall 2005).

• Installing 50 new banners with the wording "Welcome to Mount Albert, Shop Local". (Summer 2005)
