Barry Morrison, art critic of the Beach Metro News describes Jane's paintings as
"Poetic, uncomplicated, direct and honest."
Her philosophy as an artist is not complex.

"As a painter, all I am saying is look at the world around you. Look at the colour and feel it's intensity in that brief and beautiful moment before dusk. My paintings are an expression of the world I see around me, sometimes literal, sometimes interpretive. I don't have any huge political statement to make."

Jane has been an artist for more than 30 years and in that time has participated in several juried group shows as well as two one-woman exhibitions. She has been commissioned for 2 limited edition prints and is the recipient of the E.E Tigert Award.
