Community Call For Action!

We need your help for 2 hours to clean up the mess winter left behind. Soon we will have an abundance of little kiddies hunting for easter eggs downtown and we want to provide a clean environment. We will be concentrating on Main Street and Centre Street.

A map will be provided for you to hop from one location to the next and returning this year – PRIZE EGGS!! Vouchers for special prizes will be hidden in just a few of the eggs; Will you be one of the lucky recipients?

Mt. Albert Lions Santa Claus Parade
Saturday, December 2nd
From our friends at Mt. Albert and District Lions Club:
The time has come for the Mt. Albert Lions Santa Claus Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday December 2nd at 11am in Mt. Albert and will take approximately 1 hour to reach its final destination at the Community Centre.
The parade route moves north on King St., east on Shannon Rd., south on Victoria St., east on Mill St., south on Centre St., west on Main St. to end at the Mt. Albert Community Centre. Roads will be closed along the parade route at 10:50am.
Come and meet with Santa at the Community Centre after the parade. There will be hot chocolate and hot dogs for all, candy and entertainment for the kids.
Non-perishable food items will be collected during the parade so come on out to support the community and enjoy the parade.

Haunted Tour and Pumpkin Parade
Sunday, October 29th
When: Saturday May 27, 2017
Time: 8am until 1pm (or as long as you wish)
Fee: $2 for non-MAVA members

- This year we are coordinating donations of leftover, unwanted items in support of the Canadian Diabetics Association.
- Participants opt-in when registering online and items you leave curb-side will be donated to Value Village with proceeds going to the Canadian Diabetics Association.
